Free Dehumaniser Pro (mac & win) download

Dehumaniser Pro (mac & win)

Dehumaniser is a prototype application that transforms voice into monster sounds in real time. It has already been used by acknowledged sound professionals in the film and video game industry.

There are several presets, which create different creature sound effects that are applied to the voice. Additionally the user can create new presets.

By pressing record the program records the output and the input at the same time with the name of the chosen preset inside the program, the user can record the dry signal of the voice and use it again as an input. There are several parameters that affect the sound and two modes for controlling these parameters, a simple mode and an advanced mode.

Additionally, Dehumaniser has the option to use a microphone as an input or a prerecorded sound file. Thus, the user can play a recorded voice on a loop and adjust the settings while listening in order to achieve the desired result.

You can use it within a DAW by downloading soundflower for Mac or jackaudio for Windows.

It has been used for the ABC’s series 666 Park Avenue, for the video games Kingdom Rush: Frontiers Dragon Commander & Divinity Original Sins and many other feature films and video games.

The advanced mode provides the user with the parameters to edit every effect and process that is applied on the incoming sound. It contains advanced settings for experienced users (sound engineers or designers) and allows the user to affect every parameter within the application.

The Animal Convolution effect, uses procedural audio to create mammal sounds with several parameters that define the produced sound. The input sound is convolved with the sound produced from this effect and as a result creates a sonic outcome that contains the spectral of the two sounds. Therefore, instead of using a sample to convolve with the input voice, the user has the option to adjust the settings and create a custom animal sound with custom vocal characteristics. This technique was introduced by Andy Farnell.

This effect acts like a harmonizer adding multiple copies of the input sound and functions depending on the input level. The louder the input the more voices added. Due to the number of harmonies that adds to the voice, it can create a noisy, distorted effect, which adds detail to the voice. Depending on the settings the effect can add voices with higher or lower pitch. Adding higher pitched voices creates a high pitched screeching effect, on the other hand by adding lower pitched voices it creates a low frequency mumbling effect. The user can also set fixed transposition values to be activated based on the input level.
